1. SHIPPING COVERAGE
Trinidad and Tobago
- Coverage: All areas in Trinidad and Tobago
- Carriers: O'deliver Couriers (domestic), FedEx (express/international)
- Remote Areas: Tobago and rural locations
International
- Carrier: FedEx International Services
- Coverage: USA and Canada with published rates; all other destinations by special request
- Special Requests: Contact via email or Instagram DM for shipping quotes to other countries
- Customs: Customer responsible for all duties, taxes, and import fees
2. SHIPPING OPTIONS & RATES
Workshop Pickup (FREE)
- Cost: Free of charge
- Payment Method: Bank transfer only
- Location: Search "Shop Van's Closet Ltd" on Google Maps or Waze
- Availability: Only after pickup notification is sent to customer. If a date is given for pickup, the item will only be available at 6pm Mon-Fri and 2pm on Saturdays unless the pickup notification is sent before.
- Hours: Mon- Fri 10AM- 6PM, Saturday- 10AM- 2PM
Standard Shipping (O'deliver)
- Trinidad and Tobago: TT$40 flat rate, 2-3 business days (Trinidad), 3-5 business days (Tobago)
- Payment Methods: Cash on Delivery or Card Payment
- Tracking: SMS and email notifications
- Signature: Required for orders over TT$500
Cash on Delivery (O'deliver)
- Availability: 7-day preorders only, Trinidad only
- Cash Limit: Maximum TT$600 (orders over this amount require bank transfer)
- Payment: Cash only, exact change preferred
International (FedEx)
- USA: TT$250 flat rate (subject to weekly fuel surcharge adjustments)
- Canada: From TT$220, 2-5 business days
- Payment Method: Secure payment link only (sent via email)
- Other International: Contact us via email or Instagram DM for custom shipping quotes
Important: USA shipping rates fluctuate weekly based on FedEx fuel surcharges. Final shipping cost may be higher than quoted rate and will be confirmed after dispatch.
3. FREE SHIPPING & FEES
Free Shipping
- Threshold: TT$600 for Trinidad and Tobago orders (shipping only)
- Workshop Pickup: Always free regardless of order value
- Exclusions: Rush orders, special adjustments, COD orders, international orders excluded from free shipping threshold
4. ORDER PROCESSING
Processing Times
- 7-Day Preorders: 7 business days before shipping
- Rush Orders: 2-4 business days before shipping
- Special Adjustments: 10-14 business days before shipping
Dispatch Schedule
- O'deliver Pickup: Daily 2:00 PM
- FedEx Pickup: Daily 4:00 PM
- Business Days: Monday-Friday only
5. DELIVERY INFORMATION
Delivery Requirements
- Complete Address: Full street address, city/town, region, phone number required
- ID Verification: Required for FedEx and orders over TT$500
- Delivery Attempts: O'deliver (3 attempts), FedEx (3 attempts)
- Failed O'deliver Delivery: After 3 failed attempts, customer charged TT$25 failed delivery fee and permanently loses COD access for future orders
- Failed FedEx Delivery: Held at FedEx facility for pickup
Address Restrictions
- PO Boxes: Not accepted for COD; FedEx international accepts PO Boxes
- Address Changes: Must be requested within 2 hours of order confirmation
6. TRACKING & NOTIFICATIONS
Tracking Methods
- O'deliver: SMS within 4 hours of dispatch, track via O'deliver website
- FedEx: Email within 2 hours of dispatch, track via FedEx.com/tt
- Updates: SMS primary method, email and WhatsApp available
7. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Documentation
- Customs Forms: Completed for all international orders
- Value Declaration: Full commercial value declared
- Import Restrictions: Customer responsible for checking destination country rules
- USA Shipping Rates: Base rate TT$250, final cost subject to weekly fuel surcharge adjustments and weight
Customer Responsibilities
- Duties & Taxes: All customs fees, duties, and taxes
- USA Fuel Surcharges: Additional charges may apply based on weekly FedEx fuel surcharge rates
- International Payment: Secure payment link required for all international orders
- Rate Confirmation: Final shipping costs confirmed via email after dispatch
- Special Destinations: Email or Instagram DM required for shipping quotes to countries other than USA and Canada
- Delivery Delays: Customs processing may extend delivery times
- Refused Packages: Customer liable for return shipping costs
8. SHIPPING ISSUES
Lost or Damaged Items
- Report Timeline: Within 48 hours of expected delivery
- Investigation: 5-10 business days
- Resolution: Full replacement, refund, or insurance claim
- Documentation: Photos required for damage claims
Delivery Problems
- Carrier Delays: Not covered under delivery guarantee
- Late Delivery: 5% discount on next purchase if delay exceeds 7 business days
- Wrong Address: Customer pays reshipment costs
- Failed O'deliver Delivery: TT$25 fee charged to customer, COD option permanently disabled for customer account
- Weather/Customs Delays: Not compensated
9. SPECIAL SERVICES
Insurance & Security
- Coverage: All orders insured for full value
- High-Value Orders: Signature and ID required (over TT$500)
- Claims: Processed through Shop Van's Closet Ltd
Holiday Shipping
- Business Closure: All Trinidad and Tobago public holidays
- Peak Season: Extended processing times during holidays
- Cutoff Dates: Published seasonally for holiday delivery
10. RETURN SHIPPING
Return Responsibilities
- Customer Returns: Customer pays return shipping
- Company Errors: Prepaid return label provided
- International Returns: Customer responsible for all return costs and customs
- Packaging: Must be securely packaged with tracking
